Lionheir Bio

Formerly known as solo acoustic artist Paul Appelkamp, the songwriter, producer and performer started operating in 2012 as Lionheir - an artistic rock-pop project under which he's released two albums and received several awards.

His debut album, Lair (2012), had tracks played on JJJ and radio across Australia and the follow-up album, Dangerous Happiness (2015), took an alternative-rock direction. 

After the 2015 Dangerous Happiness tour, Appelkamp took a hiatus from Lionheir and fathered three children - an experience which, in turn, gave new life to his songwriting. Euphoric, spacey 2018 single Only Love indicated where Lionheir was venturing stylistically, and his acoustic neo-folk follow-up tune All My Life captured it and more.
